A Microsoft Word add-in · Now in beta

Legal work, drafted, researched, reviewed, and verified.

A four-in-one legal AI suite for Canadian lawyers — docked inside Microsoft Word. No new app to learn, no copy-paste between tabs. Draft any document from a prompt, ask Canadian-law questions grounded in the file in front of you, surface weak phrasing and missing terms, and verify every citation against the official record.

What it does

Four tools, one panel.

Draft, Research, Review, and Citation Audit share the same Word context — and the same reference documents you've uploaded — so each tool knows what the others know.

Draft

From a one-line prompt to a defensible first draft.

Tell Vantage what you need, and it drafts the document directly into Word, using vetted templates from established legal libraries. Highlight any paragraph and the Revise selection panel rewrites, summarizes, or generates a counter-argument in place.

  • Any document type — agreements, pleadings, offer letters, memos, internal communications.
  • Reusable prompts from your draft history; re-run them in one click.
  • Selection-level edits: Rewrite · Summarize · Counter-argument · custom instruction.

Research

Ask Canadian law a question — about the document open in front of you.

Research reads the document Vantage has context on and answers Canadian-law questions grounded in that file. Trained on Canadian legal data, it cites the cases it draws from — and any citation it surfaces can be sent into Citation Audit to verify.

  • Document-aware: Research already knows what you're drafting or reviewing.
  • Canadian by default: trained on Canadian case law and statutes, not generic legal data.
  • Cited answers flow into Citation Audit with one click.

Review

Find the holes in your draft. And in theirs.

Point Vantage at your own draft to surface weak phrasing, undefined terms, and missing protections. Point it at an opposing filing to find leverage and counter-arguments. Findings are organized by paragraph so you can act on them in the document, not in a separate report.

  • Review modes: my draft · opposing filing · deal & contract risks.
  • Issues organized by paragraph — clickable, in-document.
  • Each finding tagged (e.g. Undefined Term Used, Weak Phrasing) with a specific recommended fix.

Citation Audit

Every citation, verified against the official record.

Vantage scans the document for citations, fetches the canonical metadata for each one, and tells you which are real, which have changed status, and which can't be verified. The kind of check you'd normally do paragraph by paragraph, run across the whole document in seconds.

  • Automatic scan of every citation in the document.
  • Verification against the official Canadian record (CanLII metadata).
  • Per-citation status: verified · changed · not found — with deep links to the source.

What's different

A generic chatbot can write you something that looks like a contract. Vantage writes you something you'd file.

Grounded vs. generic.

Vantage is trained on Canadian law and grounded in the document you've opened and the matter you've uploaded. A generic chatbot writes from whatever it remembers.

Inside Word, not a separate tab.

Vantage edits the file you're already working in. A chatbot leaves you copying and pasting between windows.

Verifiable, not plausible.

Every citation Vantage surfaces can be audited against the canonical record. A chatbot will hallucinate a case name and never tell you.
